Open House

Benton Green Location

The resident students at the Benton Green location kicked off the new year with an open house event. The students were encouraged to invite their classmates who do not have a computer and internet access. CCEDC has been committed to providing a back pack filled with schools supplies to the resident who facilitated the enrollment of the largest number of new students.

Kaifa Tulay, Founder and CEO, stopped in to say hello during the event and showed off some of his math skills.  Board member, Rasheed Tulay, was on hand to encourage the students and even assisted with math tutoring. Central City Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC)  has partnered with the local schools to provide computer and internet access as well as free computer education and training.

The students from the following schools have open access to the facility upon registration:

Camino Nuevo Sandra Cisneros Learning Academy

Vista Charter Middle School

Camino Nuevo High School - Miramar Campus

Miguel Contreras

Belmont High School

Ramón C. Cortines School of Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA)

For more information on how to enroll your child for these services please feel free to contact the CCEDC office at 213.385.2957.
